A project by AORTA Gallery and AGBALT OdV You may feel a quiet touch of a Christmas miracle — the kind that appears when kindness, creativity, and presence meet in one shared space. Joy lives within us. Sometimes all it takes is to pause and breathe to remember it. The Endorphin Life is an exhibition that reveals the world through the eyes of children and teenagers — attentive, bright, and profoundly sincere. It is a journey where the real and the virtual merge into one flow: photographs, drawings, and multimedia installations open fragments of their inner universe — simple, radiant, and full of life. Here, you can not only experience the endorphin-filled artworks created by the participa... more

“Magic of Place” is the first fully virtual endorphin exhibition at AORTA Gallery, exploring how art influences the psychophysiological state of the human being. The visitor enters an apparently empty space and, upon putting on VR glasses, finds themselves surrounded by artworks inspired by real locations in Pisa and its surroundings. Each virtual landscape is not just a visual object, but an emotional neural environment, capable of triggering an endorphin response, reducing stress, and restoring inner balance. Visitors become participants in a process of self-exploration: through special body trackers, data such as heart rate, blood pressure, and stress levels are recorded, allowing real-ti... more

The exhibition Ex Contactu explores how the body becomes sacred not through detachment or idealisation, but through direct emotional experience. The Latin term ex contactu, meaning “from contact,” traditionally refers to third-class relics in Catholicism: objects made holy by touching something sacred. In this exhibition, that sacredness comes not from canonisation or death, but from lived, intimate thresholds — where the body meets pain, love, pleasure, betrayal, birth, wound, joy, and orgasm. Rather than illustrating these states, the works activate them. They become traces of memory, gestures of survival. Through salt, wax, water, and video, the artist constructs a visual language that i... more

So, on August 2, the world will witness Mr. Freeman’s secret artwork for the first time. A real, physical piece of art that has long remained hidden from the public. The Mona Lisa’s smile is no longer the most mysterious in the world! Soon, the line to see this masterpiece may outstretch the one to... more

Solo exhibition by Vlad Bokhan Enter the world of a solo exhibition I Am the State by a Belarusian dissident and actionist Vlad Bokhan – a surreal, provocative, and politically charged space where power, identity, and rebellion collide. This exhibition I Am The State takes its name from Bokhan’s ongoing exploration of authoritarian systems, personal transformation, and the absurdities of modern propaganda. The exhibition is showcasing Vlad Bokhan’s works ranging from the artist’s early pieces – created during a period when he stil believed in a “people’s revolution” – to later ones, reflecting the existential journey of personal revolution. Because without an inner revolution within each in... more

Sacred places is an artistic cycle that has taken shape over the past few years, emerging from the experience and memory of travels to distant and nearby continents, including Europe, America, Africa, and Australia. I was born on an island and lived there for about fifteen years – an experience that was not only a way of life but also a formative one, both emotionally and spiritually. I lived in deep synergy with nature, its cycles, and its seasons. I grew up with stories – both real stories, told by life itself, and fantastic ones, told by my grandmother. I have vivid memories of my life on the island; I preserve and cherish them with great care. Over time, I have realized that this memor... more

The “Transition” project invites the viewer into a space where the visible and invisible worlds converge, where the past intertwines with the present, and memory comes alive through the sounds of birds and the glow of amber. Olga creates photographs that capture moments of transition between realities, imbued with the warmth and depth of remembrance. In her work, she uses acacia resin to create prints of past photographs – moments when her family were still together. These prints serve as her way of connecting with those she can no longer embrace. Resin, like amber, preserves these moments, imprinting them on paper with graphite. While graphite, easily erased, symbolizes the fragility of mem... more

Everyone has dreams. I always dreamed of the northern lights. My grandmother dreamed of going with me to the city where she had lived before I was born. My grandmother dreamed of seeing my children. My eldest son dreamed of traveling and ships. I dream we’ll always be together. Of the three of us, I alone was left in this reality. And one day I felt that we can make each other’s dreams come true anyway. Aurora Borealis is a meeting of the unreal with what is going on now, an encounter of doubts and hopes. The eternal struggle with myself, the desire to believe, the keen intention to find the desired miracle, facing the walls of a rational mind. This is the story of me, the search for my fai... more

The Exhibition of History of Invisible Histories reaches into the profound theme of resistance, weaving together the intricate threads of socio-political struggles, gender with mythological narratives. Through a masterful use of diverse materials and installation, the exhibition reveals how the human body becomes a battlefield—a golden vessel of sacrifice and a silver font of resistance, echoing the ancient art of alchemy. Avani's works highlight politically the stories of the unseen and the untold, bringing to light the narratives that have been systematically erased from dominant historical discourse. Through layers of transparent textiles, gauze, and delicate mending stitches, Avani's wor... more

Every year in October, we are planning to uncover different social topics and showcase them through art. We really want the city to live, develop and be the center of social art! We want the city to attract famous artists and have the opportunity to talk about meaningful topics through art. The Festival is held annually in October in Pisa. This year, the Festival takes place on 5-30 October. This year, the topic of the Festival is "Different but Equal". We were inspired by the story of Rose Island. We are referring to the true story of the short existence of the Republic of Rose Island in the Adriatic Sea, sunk by the government in 1969 after less than a year of existence. Disunity, wars, ... more

This is the first exhibition of a young artist Alexandra Dichkovska who is currently living in New York. She has recently moved to the United States and was struck by the social contrasts of life in this country. The artist strives to capture her experiences in paintings and photographs, and thereby work through the complex emotions regarding what she sees around her. Alexandra is only 17 years old, and we want to support her desire to influence this world through art.

The collective project “Private Property” is dedicated to the themes of the body, human rights, the dictatorship of medicine, and the objectification of male and female bodies. The human body has always been an object of experiments, of interest to the government and corporations, the focus of advertising manipulations to increase levels of consumption. Corporations create new norms which become a necessary part of society life, insisting and sometimes demanding medical manipulations so that a person can be part of society and not become marginalised. The body has become the object of profit, and we have lost the right to it long ago. We present artists who work closely with this theme and ... more

What does contemporary man bring to this world? What do we carry with us through generations, what messages? How do we pass on the most important things that should be carried into the next generations? Don't we see that we are the conductors of universal knowledge, which much greater than technological progress? In this exhibition, two unique projects by Belarusian artists meet and intertwine creating layers of memory. The “Hidden Message” exhibition combines the projects of two Belarusian artists: the “Secret” project by Olga Zaverzhenets and “SelPo” by Elena Berezina. Olga follows her memories and explores the secrets that her grandmother passed on to her through her recipes. These are wo... more

The exhibition "Spazio unveiled" by Andrea Rizzo aims to immerse the viewer in one unusual dimension, allowing him to observe a space and investigate the elements contained therein. The space, which includes the characteristic elements of a real representation but contained in an imaginary rigid dimension, reveals itself by opening as a container opens, from which elements of real life emerge and clearly stand out in a suspended dimension. Space is depicted in all its power and unpredictability, space has its unpredictable and selfish soul, space does not care about context, about the rigidity of the walls or the strength of a column. Space has its own soul and will, and does not care about... more

The project touches on the social phenomenon of “homelessness,” but also considers the subject of ways of life existing outside the usual framework: a nomadic lifestyle, abandoning state systems, the tragic problem of losing a roof over one’s head, a voluntary refusal to live within the stereotypical guidelines. Tragedy, oddness or freedom? Why do people living “under the sky” cause such fear in society? What kind of mirror does everyone look at themselves through? This exhibition invites viewers to explore an innovative perspective that reconsiders the connection between nature, femininity, and activism. The displayed artworks offer a profound insight into the relationship between women and the environment, proposing a reinterpretation of the traditional conception of world creation, often portrayed in masculine terms. Louises Will uses oil paintings to depict women powerfully and sensitively, while through acrylics and enamels, she creates artificial landscapes that ... more

Exhibition of mosaic art The central works of the exhibition are a triptych dedicated to the war in Ukraine. In addition to the pacifist overtones, these works have the “memento mori” narrative, a characteristic of classical Roman mosaics, which unites them with other works presented at the exhibition. Most of the sketch was made without the participation of the artist, but under the effects of the natural forces of nature and time. Silhouettes of stones outlined by random paint drippings, rotting wood, corroded paper, metal; scanned and digitized they develop the theme of passing time, and carry the same message as classic Roman floor mosaics. Project theme: stigmatization and isolation through word, designation, definition. Stigmatization in a broad sense is a process of branding, that is, “sticking labels” on individuals, social groups and society as a whole. The result of social stigmatization is usually the marking or singling out of a person, and opposing him to other members of society. Stigmatization exists not only in broad sections of society but also locally, in small communities and family relationships. The term "stigma" was introduced into scientific circulation by E. Hoffman. The analysis of his works suggests that the presence of stigma is not something unusual or characteristic only of small circles of people who s... more

The "With Roots and Without" project is dedicated to the theme of emigration, the loss of one's land and one's roots. The modern world is plagued by wars, repressions of totalitarian states, famines. Many people leave their homes to seek greener pastures. Europe in general, and Italy in particular are becoming a new home for emigrants. Italians themselves, moving from one region to another, can feel torn from their roots: from culture, dialect, traditions and from the support of family. The exhibition "With Roots and Without" brings together works by both Italians artists who feel deeply rooted to their land or those in exile, who have lost their roots. The aim of the exhibition is to explor... more

The brutal war in Ukraine has been going on for exactly a year. Hundreds of thousands of people have died and continue to die. There is no reason why the invasion of the Russian army was acceptable. There is no reason for this war to continue today. Today we want to remind you that there is nothing more valuable than human life. We believe that any war of conquest is a savage murder. It may be hard to imagine that living people are dying right now. Sitting behind the screens in the modern world, we forget that we are made of flesh and blood. It is difficult for us to truly believe that bloody wars are going on in the world, and that one of them is very close. But it's true. And hundreds of ... more
